Kitten vomiting and constipated again. Is it serious enough for vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

My kitten threw up yesterday and today. I've taken him to the vet before and we found out he has a funny thing going on with his pelvis that causes him to become severely constipated. We got medicine for him after the enema and I gave it to him along with medicine for worms. However I stopped because he wouldn't let me give it to him anymore. I think he may be getting constipated again. I'll go to my vet but right now I need to know if it's serious.

I would take your kitten into the vet due to his history of constipation. When cats become severely constipated, they can start vomiting and feel very unwell. It's also recommended to take a cat to the vet when they have been throwing up for more than one day. I would be concerned that his vomiting is related to his problems with constipation, and he may need another enema to help pass feces. I'm not sure what medication your vet originally gave him after the enema, but you can discuss with the vet if another medication would be easier for you to give to him. You did the right thing by asking for help to see if he needs to see a vet, and I think you should take him into the vet now.
