My puppy was chewing on rawhide today.. Are these okay for her? She was coughing a little when I took her home. Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | spayed | 3 months and 14 days old

While rawhides can be popular for dogs, there are dangers behind them. They can contain trace amounts of toxic chemicals, just like pet toys. Some dogs can be sensitive or allergic to them. They also carry the risk of choking your dog or causing a blockage. Given that Mila was coughing a little, it could be that some pieces of it may have gotten caught in her esophagus. I would not recommend giving them to her, as she is still young and larger pieces could easily cause her to choke or create an obstruction.
