Not all cats are naturally sociable and many are not automatically welcoming of new cats in their territory. You should be prepared to keep them separated when you are not there to supervise them for up to 3months. Pheromone diffusers and calming diets (royal canin calm) or supplements can help both cats to adjust. You should provide separate sleeping/hiding and food/littter areas for each cat also.
