Why does my Italian Greyhound have scabs on her face and throat?

My italian greyhound has developed little scabs on her face and under her throat. These have developed very quickly and don't seem to be bothering her. Can you help? Pet's info: Dog | Italian Greyhound | Female | 1 year and 10 months old | 5 lbs

She could have a bacterial skin infection. You could bathe her with a medicated dog shampoo and see if that helps. If not, she should be examined by a veterinarian for treatment. She may need an anti-histamine, corticosteroid, and/or an antibiotic to help treat the problem.
