My dog has bumps on her belly. Could they be flea bites or allergies?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

I found 2 pus filled pimples on my dogs underside last night. They looked like a pimple that humans get on their faces sometimes. They didnt seem very bothersome to my dog, but I worried they could be flea bites. She does not have fleas as far as I can tell. I flea comb her 2 times a day, she takes Nexguard, and did not see any flea evidence anywhere. This morning the pus is gone and they look more healed, lighter in color. What could it be? Should I worry about fleas?

It's more likely to be allergy related rather than fleas, as long as it's only two small pimples that are getting better I would not be too worried about this. If those pimples start appearing elsewhere and in numbers I would then advise to have it checked by your vet.
