My dog has watery poop with mucus after new food. What to do?

My dog princess 12 years old.Is making watery poo with a little flems,this happenend before when we changed her food.She need to get used to the food?

If you recently changed her food and then she may need to get used to it. Diet change can cause inflammation in the stomach and intestines and cause vomiting/diarrhea. You could add a probiotic to her diet, like Fortiflora or Proviable and see if that helps. You could also withhold food for the day and then feed her a bland diet, like chicken and white rice for a few days. If the diarrhea clears up then you can change back to her dog food but if the diarrhea continues she needs to be examined by a vet to determine the cause. Your vet can run a fecal test to look for parasites and then prescribed medications to help with the diarrhea.
