Hello and thank you for your question on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It is hard to say exactly what the raised lesions is on Boo sight unseen, but I can certainly offer a few possibilities. It could just be a scab from an itch, grooming, or scraping her skin on something around the house or outside. If the lesion appears like a small mass, then it may be a growth or cyst. Lumps and bumps on middle aged to older dogs are very common and are typically not a cause for alarm, however, it is always a good idea to get these checked by your veterinarian to be sure it is isn't something to be concerned about. Your veterinarian will take a small sample of the mass to determine if it is a cause for concern. You may also keep an eye on the growth and monitor it for changes such as growing rapidly, becoming red, ulcerated, or infected and do see a veterinarian if any of these changes are noticed. I hope this has helped you and I wish your and Boo the absolute best!
