Have a 4 year old beagle that started to cry when he poops he's eating good drinking water poop seems normal right now he's asleep right next to me. Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Male | neutered | 36 lbs

Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I recommend having Bandit's anal glands checked by a vet. Dogs have sacs inside their rectum that can become infected and cause pain when defecating. Having the glands checked will also ensure a rectal exam too. This may help narrow down the reason he is in pain. Please do not give any medications until you talk to a vet. Good luck and kisses to Bandit!
