My Chihuahua vomited after Metacam overdose. What should I do?

I gave my chihuahua 4ml of metecam instead of 4 units this was yesterday and today she has vomited should I worry

Metac can cause gastrointestinal upset and kidney problems with overdosed. I would stop the medication now and call the veterinarian who prescribed it. They may chose to have you bring in Mia, or may provide a different medication. Other signs would include; Dirrhoea Inappetabce Blood in vomit Increase in drinking Increase in urination

    If it only happened one time this shouldn't cause any problem she should be fine. do monitor her for vomiting, blood in the stools and lack of appetite which can potentially be caused by an overdose of Metacam, if they occur you will need to take her to your vet to get it treated.
