The 9 in 1 vaccine (also referred to as DAPP, or distemper- adenovirus- parvovirus- parainfluenza vaccine, sometimes containing leptospirosis as well) is typically given every 3-4 weeks from 6 weeks of age until 16 weeks of age. Muffin should receive this same or equivalent 9 in 1 vaccine at 9-10 weeks as well. Depending upon her lifestyle and your location, you can also discuss the bordetella (kennel cough), canine influenza, leptospirosis, and Lyme disease vaccines with your vet to determine if these should be started. Rabies vaccines are typically given around 12-16 weeks of age, but this age will vary based upon state laws. I hope this helps and that all goes well for Muffin!

Great questions! Roxy should receiving a DHPP/DAPP (distemper/parvovirus/adenovirus/parainfluenza) vaccine every 3-4 weeks until she is at least 16 weeks old. Rabies is typically given around 14-16 weeks of age. Bordetella (kennel cough) can vary with respect to boosters because some do not require boosters, but others need to be boostered 3-4 weeks after the initial administration. It looks as though Roxy's first round of vaccines were given on 3/25/17, making her next round due between 4/15 - 4/22/17.

I believe Pixie will need a couple more vaccines. The distemper vaccine is typically mixed with Parvo and puppies need at least 3 boosters with the final set being given around 16 weeks of age. Additionally, these vaccines need to be done 2-4 weeks apart in Oder to lock it into the immune cells. If you miss this window, you may need to restart the series. Depending on what types of bordetella vaccine, she may need a booster of that as well. Lastly, depending on where you live and life style, some pets will receive vaccines for Leptospirosis and Lyme disease as well. Take your vaccine records in with you and the doctor will be able to tell what Pixie will need. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Max needs to receive the DHPP vaccine every 3-4 weeks, so he is due now, until he received two PAST 12 weeks of age. You can decide if you want to start Bordatella. When he is 12 weeks or older you can decide to start Lyme and/or Leptospirosis. The last 3 are elective and your choice. His Rabies is due based on your state law, in PA we give it between 12-16 weeks. I hope this helps!
