Hello and thank you for your post! There is not one best food out there, but there are foods that are much better than others to feed your dog. All veterinarians have different foods they recommend due to the large selection of foods and what is available in different areas of the world. The foods that I currently recommend, and this is based on personal use with my own dog who lived to be 20 years old, are Science Diet, Royal Canin, Eukanuba, Natural Balance and Purina. These are my go to recommendations for pet owners currently. I would avoid foods that are all life stage and more specifically go with a puppy food, then at 12 months of age switch to an adult food.
