Why does my cat always leave a few kibble pieces in the bowl every time?

Why does my cat always leave 1 or 2 pieces of kibble in his bowl almost every time he eats? Is there a reason for this or is it just a weird habit? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 5 months and 8 days old | 8.3 lbs

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I can't think of a medical reason for that and I don't think you should be worried about it. Maybe he doesn't like the feel of the bowl on his mouth/face. As long as he is eating well and acting normal it's just a habit of his!
