Pet's info: Dog | Bichon Frise | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 11 months old | 13 lbs
The vet has given my dog (bichon frise-3 years old) one pill of bravecto (flurataner) to replace the collar we were using before. After I got home, I started reading the online reviews and i'm terrified. Is it this toxic? Can a dog die because of it? He's felling fine for now, no vommit, no stool problems, no seizures, he's active, but the online info said the effects could appear even after months. After how long can I be sure he'll be all right? Thank you very much!

Bravecto is a highly effective and very safe medication to prevent both fleas and ticks. Any medication has a list of published possible side effects because drug manufacturers must report all side effects noted during their clinical trials of medications, whether or not they are related to the medication being tested or not. I often recommend Bravecto and have only seen one patient vomit once after taking the medication. Trust your vet's knowledge and education over reviews online or blogs with no medical credibility! :-) I find that Bravecto is both safer and more effect than flea collars. I hope this helps!
