My dog ate a tiny chocolate piece from ice cream. Is he okay?

Hi there! I was wondering if you could help me out with something. I was eating an ice cream with a chocolate layer on the outside and I accidentally dropped a piece of that layer on the floor and my dog ate it. It was a layer about the same length and width of the nail on your thumb. He's a small maltese. Would he be okay and/or is there anything I should do about this? thanks :)

He will likely be just fine with such a small piece of chocolate especially if it was milk chocolate. I would just watch him for an vomiting or diarrhea. If noted, contact your vet for some medicine. I hope this helps!
