Best topical flea, tick, mosquito, and heartworm prevention for cats?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 8 years and 9 months old | 10 lbs

I am moving from Loa Angeles to northern Georgia with my two indoor-only cats, but the area will be forested and screens only provide so much protection from mosquitoes. I am concerned about feline heartworm. What is the best topical preventative against fleas, ticks AND mosquitoes for my cats under these circumstances?

Love his name! That is awesome! I would recommend Revolution or Advantage Multi. I personally like Advantage Multi better. Any product containing a heartworm prevention is a prescription item so you need to get your vet to either dispense the product or write you a script. I hope this helps. Best of luck with your move!
