my cat , which is a mix bread about 3 years old is yellow tabby and white...the back half being more white. It appears all of her white hair fell out and not the yellow and she has new hair growing in, why would she be losing her hair?

Hi, if you repost with a picture we have a better chance of being able to help you. The main reason your cat would be losing hair is some kind of flea or mite infestation. I would treat her with a topical flea and tick preventative such as Frontline or Advantix. Another reason can be that she is has a allergy which is causing her to lick herself so much her hair is falling out. There is not much to do in this case. A veterinary behaviorist may have some suggestions. Good luck, I hope this helps!
