Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Male | neutered | 11 months and 22 days old | 80 lbs
My Pitbull Kellin will be 1 on the 30th and about two days ago he developed small quantitative bumps on his chest and then some went away and over night it seemed that it has flared up. The bumps go from under his chin to his shoulders, chest/breastbone and a few run down the insides of his front legs. they are nowhere else on him. I was thinking it could be hives but I don't think that so much now because some of the bumps have small dry skin over them. I just gave him 2 Benadryl.

Hi, thanks for using Petcoach! Based on your description is could be hives but I agree there shouldn't be a crust on top of a hive. I think he may have a skin infection. When the bumps pop they leave a crust. I have a pitty too and they have sensitive skin and are prone to skin infections. You can continue the bendadryl every 8 hours to see if it helps. Bu also start bathing him 2-3 times per week in a medicated shampoo. If it doesn't get better I recommend seeing your vet. they can prescribe antibiotics if needed. Here is a good shampoo. https://www.amazon.com/Dechra-TrizChlor-4-Shampoo-8-Ounce/dp/B00K4X8TF6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1500736921&sr=8-3&keywords=4+chlorhexidine+shampoo+for+dogs
