Why is my dog gaining weight, drinking more, and has new lumps?

I have an 8 year old American bulldog. Over the last year he has started gaining a lot of weight, started drinking a lot more water then usual and in the last couple months he has had 1 lump form on his left hip and 1 on his right hip. Both are firm to the touch. I am wondering if you have any insight as to what might be wrong without seeing him in person. Pet's info: Dog | American Bulldog | Male | unneutered | 8 years and 4 months old | 155 lbs

There are many possible reasons for the symptoms you describe but altered thirst and weight gain may indicate hormonal disease such as cushings or fluid retention. I recommend a full vet check and blood or urine screen as soon as possible
