My dog has a black spot on his belly. Is it a scab or vet visit?

I just saw this black spot on my dogs belly today. Its not painfull, there's no smell coming out of it, and it's thin. I could remove it if I would, it lifts from the healthy skin around. Do I need to go to the vet or can I wait ? My dog is 5 y.o. , half german shepherd half bernese mountain dog. The spot is about 2cmx2cm. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 4 years and 8 months old | 70 lbs

You could bathe him with a medicated dog shampoo and see if the spot is just a scab that will come off. If it is attached then you should just leave it alone and have your vet examine him to determine if treatment is needed.
