Why is my puppy crying when picked up after his vaccination?

Well my pug Leo who is now 3 months old got a shot today. So he made some noise when he got the shot but after that, nothing. But that was for only a few hours. After those few hours, whenever I want to pick him up to put him in my lap he cries. Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | unneutered | 5.7 lbs
