Is Frontline Plus a good, safe option for my dog after Nexgard?

I was thinking about trying frontline plus for my dog for a few months. He's currently taking nexgard. There's nothing wrong with his current flea medicine, I was just thinking of trying something different. He's also taking tri-heart for heartworm. Is frontline plus a good option and is it safe to make that switch? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 8 months old | 10 lbs

I personally prefer oral flea and tick preventive as I don't like the greasy feel to the topical ones. In certain areas Frontline doesn't seem to be as effective as it used to be, so I would take that into consideration as well if there are a lot of fleas where you live. You can try it though and always switch back if you like.
