My dog had diarrhea with mucus and panting, but is fine now. Worry?

Yesterday, I took my dog out for a walk and he pooped normally except for the fact it took him a bit longer than normal to finish. Not even 5 minutes later as we are about to walk back home, he poops again and this time it comes out fast. It was soft, had more mucus than normal and smelled 10x worse than normal. This morning, he was restless, panting and shaking. I took him out and his stool was very loose. He struggled and had gas after a bit came out. He seems to be fine now and is sleeping

Bentley may just have had a GI upset if it was just 2 episodes of loose stool and he seems fine now. You can withhold food for 12 hours then feed a smaller meal than than normal to help rest his GI tract. If he continues to have diarrhea or begins vomiting as well I would recomend a vet visit to find out the cause. Diarrhea can be from intestinal parasites, eating something he shouldn't, viral or bacterial infection among other things.
