Is a soft stomach good for my dog, or does a hard stomach mean injury?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Maltese | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 5 months old | 13 lbs

Last question. Is it good that his stomach is soft and he is not bothered if he touched in that area. Usually if a stomachs is hard it's bad right?

Yes the fact that his stomach is soft is a very good sign that things will be just fine. Also if he doesn't have any bruising then he is likely going to be ok. It takes major trauma to cause internal bleeding in pets, in the form of being hit by a car or dropped from a 2 story building. So unless you intentionally punched your pet with all your might, he likely will be able to recover from this minor hit. I hope everything works out well for Jax. Take care.
