Should I be concerned that after my dog pooped there were two small raspberry jam-like dots on the ground afterwards? She is a one year old chiweenie and I heard her yelp before she had her accident in the house. I don't know if the yelp was caused by pain from pooping or if she saw a cat outside. I didn't notice the two little red spots until later on, and am worried for her. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 10 lbs

Rosie could be experiencing some GI issues, or potentially a problem with her anal glands, which are on either side of her anus. If she will let you look back there, and if there is any swelling, redness, or bleeding/oozing you should take her to the vet as she may need to have the glands flushed and take medications for infection and pain.
