I have a four year old male basset hound with a red rash on his right lower side beside his penis he licks a lot and just wndering if it is just an irratation I did put some polysporin on it but just concerned he has it for about a week now ?! Thx. Pet's info: Dog | Basset Hound | Male | neutered | 3 years and 5 months old

It could be an allergic reaction or an infection, if it has been there for a week, I would recommend putting an e-collar around his neck to prevent him from licing the area, which makes the condition worse. If it does not seem to get better in a week from now- take Rudy to the vet in order to get it checked and treated.
