Can I safely combine multiple flea treatments on my young puppy?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Alaskan Malamute | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 4 days old | 15 lbs

I've just used bob Martin flea tablets for 3 consecutive days but my puppy is still biting and scratching although Less. The plan tomorrow is clean bedding and room (vacuum abc chemically treat). Shampoo with flea shampoo then use flea comb and finish by applying a topical treatment such as frontline. My puppy is also wearing a flea collar. Is what I am planning on doing safe for my puppy? Thank you in advance

Hi, sorry to hear about your flea problem. I would not keep the flea collar on him while using a topics such as frontline. Frontline should be good for your flea problem, but it is also important to clean wherever he goes, including his toys and beds. The flea products should be safe at his age. Make sure you don't get any of the shampoo or dip in his eyes and flush them out with some water after you use it to prevent irritation. other than that, it sounds like you're doing everything right. Good luck!
