My dog has a small, hard growth on his ear. When should I worry?

Our dog has a growth on the top of his ear on the outside,it's 1/8 inch round and a 1/4 inch high,its not festered and is somewhat hard,anything to worry about? Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | neutered | 10 lbs

Hi, I would be concerned about a small tumor developing that could spread. I do not know your dog's age, but older dogs are more prone to this. There are many lumps that dogs can get that are not dangerous at all. Only a visit to the vet can tell you this. Watch it to see if it turns red, grows, or gets infected.
