My cat ripped a nail. What should I do if she keeps licking her paw?

My cat seems to have ripped out one of her back nails. She hasn't gone off her food or playing with our other cat. She does lick it quite a bit though. Any suggestions? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 3 lbs

Generally these heal uneventfully and a new nail will grow in its place over time. Keep the arrea clean with cooled boiled water for 2-3days and monitor for any heat, swelling or discharge indicating the need for a vet visit
