My dog has a painful bump under her ear. Fatty tumor or swollen gland?

my dog has this large skin bump thing under her ear and near her cheek area. i can tell it bothers her when i touch it. my brother seems to think its swollen sweat gland but i found a picture of a fatty tumor and it looks very similar...what do you think??

This definitely looks like some type of skin mass. It looks more like a Iipoma (fatty tumor) than a sebaceous adenoma (gland tumor) to me, btbthere are many other possibilities and the only way to know for certain what it is would be to have your veterinarian examine it and potentially take a sample using a small needle or a full biopsy. It looks rather large and is close to Rugger's eye, so even if it is benign removing it before it grows larger might be in her best interest.
