My puppy has a skin growth on her neck. When should I see a vet?

Hello, if your dog is young (puppy up to 5yrs) I am almost certain it is a type of skin growth called a Histiocytoma. These are a benign growth which usually spontaneously resolve. If She/ he is older, it is probably another type of skin growth or infection. It is not an emergency but get it checked by your vet in the next couple of days to confirm what it is. They may suggest a little needle biopsy called cytology to be certain of the nature of the growth.
