My 6-month-old dog has a cloudy eye. Should I continue saline drops?

My 6 month old Jack Russell mix has a cloudy eye.....he had goop in it yesterday so I mixed up some saline solution and applied a couple of times....should I continue the drops? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 12 lbs

A cloudy eye could indicate an infection inside the eye or even damage to the cornea. Kramer needs to see his veterinarian as either of those conditions could lead to vision loss. Keep Kramer from pawing or rubbing his eye, remove any discharge with a moist cloth and make sure the eye stays moist by only using artificial tears if needed.
