My dog's anal area is itchy with a rash. Why and how can I help?

My dog has been scratching her anal a lot and has a rash from lick how can I help her and why did this happen , and she has gotten mosquito bites because it's been so hot so I've kept her in and gave her bath and she hasn't been itching so much

as you said this presentation could be due to a initial allergy and secondary localized spot of skin infection (likely to be caused by bacteria). A check up, appropriate disinfection and eventually antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Anal glands must be checked as well as they could be a source of itch and discomfort. Disinfection can eventually be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid licking.
