My cat has a pimple on his lip. What could it be and is it serious?

My year and a half old male cat Ronald has what looks like a pimple on his lower lip. Any idea what could cause this and if so is it serious? Pet's info: Cat | Maine Coon | Male | neutered | 11 lbs

This is likely a small papule or pustule, and as long as there is only one and it does not spread, it should go away on its own and not to be concerned. If it gets bigger, I'd recommend an exam and fine needle aspirate so your vet can diagnose it, and put Ronald on the proper medications to deal with it. Hope that helps!
