Why is my dog losing hair, getting bald spots, and dandruff?

Dog had a thick coat hard seems to be dandruff but when I rube it a his hair came off and left a bald spot and he has white specks of dandruff when I brush him. Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | 6 years and 6 months old | 65 lbs

Great photos. In his case, I would recommend an oatmeal shampoo and deep brushing. Hair loss can occur from allergies, infections, and metabolic/endocrine diseases. If it continues, I would have his skin checked first infections, and have his thyroid checked as well.
