My dog has ear sores, but isn't bothered. What's wrong?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 4 months old | 42 lbs

Not sure why photos did not attach to my question. One of my dogs has some sores in his ears. He doesn't seem bothered by them, not itching or shaking his ears. No other place on his body, no fleas. Is nurtured and 1 1/2 years old. Has all his shots and we keep topical flea treatment on him monthly. He gets grain free high quality food.

Hello These look like a yeast infection. It could also be an atypical bacterial skin infection. It's less likely to be something autoimmune. Sometimes an oatmeal shampoo applied topically to the ear helps. Other times it requires a prescription strength medication to fix.
