Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female
One day I took Reese to the dog trainer and I guess he thought I left but I didn't I watched and he kept spitting in her mouth and i told him to stop she sat there so I took her home. Now she isn't as active as she used to be and she threw up right as we were walking home. Everyone we see him somewhere she barks at first then she whines. I didn't see the whole thing but I think he beat her because she has marks. She threw up 6 times that day. His wife told me he has an std. Is she okay?

Wow, what an awful experience for you! You did the right thing by taking her away from him. The good news is that dogs can't get STDs from humans, so there is no concerns there. It could be the experience upset her so much that it caused her to be lethargic and vomit. I'm not sure if Reeses is still vomiting, but if she isn't, I would continue to monitor her for now. If she had vomiting today on her walk home, I can give you a home remedy to try to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, she vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. If you did observe the trainer spitting in her mouth, that's not normal or accepted standards of treatment, and I would speak to your vet to see if there is someone with which you can make a report of his behavior.
