My hamster's hair is falling out and he's itching. What's wrong?

Hi I noticed my hamsters hair was.falling out, I thought it was getting better but it's actually getting much worse. He seemed normal in himself, he itches but not more than I think he usually has done. What do you think it could be? Pet's info: Other | Unknown - Other | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 11 months old

Bless him if he is itching , he might have mites or an allergy. You could try to take him to see the vet as some mite drops and a drop of steroids might make a huge difference in his condition and comfort levels. I would not do any at home remedies as Hamsters are very delicate creatures and weight so little, so the risk of harming them is real ! I hope this helps !
