Hi my puppies tooth fell out. Should I take her to the vet? She started licking and licking her teeth until I saw one fell out. She seems to be fine but she is my first dog and is this normal? She is a little under 5 months.

That may be part of normal dentition process. I would not be worried about it unless you see persistent bleeding or discomfort. Please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.

Hello, Umaru is about the right age when her puppy teeth are falling off and her adult teeth are starting to come out. As long as she hasn't been hit in the face with anything, this is likely normal and you can continue to monitor her for a decreased appetite, lethargy, or bleeding. If you note any of these then have her evaluated by your veterinarian. Hope this helps and best of luck.
