Can I use Frontline on my cat in heat with fleas, if pregnant?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 1 month old | 6.61387 lbs

My cat is on "heat" and has fleas on her. Can I use frontline spot on to treat her?

Yes you can, strictly use the product recommended for cats. Other spot on may work better (like Stronghold), as fleas are getting resistant to frontline.     Frontline is fine to use on an unspayed cat, however if there is the possibility of a pregnancy it may harm any unborn babies. If you suspect a pregnancy, then having your vet confirm it prior to using any medications is best. If she is pregnant, your vet can recommend treatment options that may be safe to use, or you can use Dawn dish soap while bathing Baby Juliet Rose along with a flea comb to kill any fleas and remove them. Cleaning her environment such as bedding, carpeting and baseboards can also help prevent the fleas in the environment from reinfecting her.
