My dog still has worms. Should I take another human deworming pill?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Male | unneutered | 6 months old | 48 lbs

My dog had worms few weeks ago. I gave him pull and he threw them out. 14 days after that I gave him another as my vet ordered and now he throws more worms. The first time I took a preventive pull for worms. the question is - should I take another now that Max is continuing throwing worms. How much time does the pill for people work and is it bad for me?

You should contact your pharmacist of physician for advice on medications for yourself but if Max is still shedding worms there would still be a small possibility of you contracting them. Be sure to wash your hands after handling Max or cleaning any faeces up and always before eating
