My cat choked, but is eating and playing. Does she need a vet?

Alex appeared to be choking this morning at 5:30, so I followed ASPCA guidelines for first aid, and then watched her. It is 3 hours later and she is eating, drinking and playing fine. Should I take her in? Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 6 lbs

If she is eating and drinking with no difficulty swallowing I would recommend you just continue to monitor for any recurrecne of the symptoms - it sounds like the problem has rectified itself and she should recover uneventfully
