My cat is it indoor and outdoor, does it know difference between peeing in the litter box and peeing outside

Yes, your cat should know the difference, however, many cats are so well trained to the litter box that they will actually come in to go to the box rather than pee outside. The litter box is also a safe place, so if your cat does not feel safe peeing outside, it will come in to the safe place to use the box.
