My senior dog has new lumps. What could they be and what should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 11 years and 9 months old | 93 lbs

My dog has lumps on his back and on the side of his mouth. He is going to be 12 soon. The lump on his back is hard to tell how big it is due to his fur. But the lump on the side of his mouth gradually got bigger and is like his skin color but is also red.

Any growth needs to be checked and analysed as there are many conditions and types of tumors that could look like that. take Chocco to the vet, they will perform a fine needle aspiration on the growth and send it to the lab for analysis. when the result comes, the vet will advise what needs to be done according to the diagnosis.
