Good question. Typically you want to wean a kitten between three and four weeks of age. And you do so by mixing have milk with half canned food for several days and then slowly increasing the canned food amount throughout the rest of the week. If the kitten doesn't seem interested in the canned food at first, you can put a little on your finger to try and entice her. Then if you wish for your kitth to be on dry food, you slowly mix the canned food with dry kibble slowly over the following week.
