My new cat howls and acts crazy at night. Is she in heat or bored?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Longhair | Female | 4 years old | 15 lbs

Took in this barn cat stray i took care of at work.Have 2 other female cats. Work 2nd shift.Found no owner and was full of abcesses and skin allergy from vet visit. She is very sweet and loves attention, vet says shes 4. Had her almost a week now.Question is, she does great during day but after midnight goes nuts, howling and going from door to windows. Live in a apartment and not good area to let outdoors. Anything i can do? Or do i need to drop her back at barn? Thank you.

Sounds like she may be in heat if she not spayed. The other potential cause could be behavioral because she is used to being outside. I would talk to your veterinarian and see if getting her fixed could help her behavior before you let her back out in the barn.
