Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 3 years old | 8 lbs

We have had Nancy for about 3 days she was taken to the vet a few days prior to her adoption, she came back healthy. Today she's scratching her ears & shaking her head like crazy. They said she tested negative for ear mites I can't afford another 300$ vet visit what can I do?

Ear mites is not the only option with this type of symptom, yeast and bacterial infections are actually more common. the treatment will include a special prescription eardrops, it won't be even close to 300$.
