My 7-day-old kitten has a swollen eye. What should I do immediately?

My cat had kittens 7 days ago and one of the kittens eyes are swollen. It is more swollen on bottom than on top. They have not opened their eyes yet.

Poor little kitten! I would have this kitten seen by a vet immediately. The kitten should have suffered an injury to her eye causing the swelling. The eye is such a delicate and important structure the any problem with it should be considered an emergency. That's because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. The vet can diagnose what is causing it's eye to swell so it can be treated.
