Dog's penis red and irritated after grooming. What should I do?

hello my chinese crested dog is 5 years old and had dog grooming yesterday when he came back he was walking funny and was licking his penis alot and his his tail area was irratating.looking at his penis the hole of the foreskin is brown /red ring where the penis comes out. he is licking and biting it. Pet's info: Dog | Chinese Crested | Male | 4 years and 10 months old | 14 lbs

Place an e-collar (cone) on Per y to prevent further licking. It is possible his so n was irritated by the grooming or clippers. The collar may be enough to allow healing/recovery but if the irritation worsens or you see bleeding or discharge and smell an odor then have him examined by your veterinarian.
