My conure is having seizures. What are the common causes for birds?

Last six moths my 4-year old female of marron-bellied conure is having seizures almost one a month. all of the sudden she fall down from the perch and for a shor period of time is having a seizure attack, manifested by flapping of one wing and acting desoriented. Could you please tell me what might have caused this condition?

Disease affecting the liver or brain could result in seizures. Some birds with atherosclerosis can have espisodes that resemble seizures. You should consult your veterinarian and discuss bloodwork and anticonvulsant therapy.
