It may have been an allergic reaction to something. If you see a discharge in the ear or if there is an odor than he could have an infection and may need medications to treat. Otherwise, monitor the ear and if the redness recurs than he should be examined by a vet.

Poor pup sounds very uncomfortable! It sounds like he may have an ear infection, which requires a trip to the vet. Leaving an ear infection untreated can lead to hearing loss, so it's important he's seen by a vet tomorrow. Ear infections in dogs can be caused by bacteria, yeast, or ear mites. The vet can diagnose what is causing the ear problems and can prescribe medication to treat it.

It's probably an ear infection, often it cannot be seen from the outside. Ear infections are very common in dogs, it is usually caused by either yeast or bacterial disease. the treatment is usually simple and straightforward, you will have to take Danny to the vet and get the ears checked, then a prescription ear drops will be prescribed according to the infectious agent.

These are signs of a possible bilateral otitis (inflammation of the ear canal). With both ears involved, commonly an allergy is seen and could be a predisposing factor. A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Antibiotic ear drops may be needed.
